ONE. TWO. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

My baby girl Kielle turned 2 years old! Of course for her special weekend we had to have the perfect outfits! We started her birthday fashion show with this cute little diddy and a fresh set of clean teeth :-)

We headed out early Saturday morning to the bank for Kielle's annual deposit. We carried in her piggy bank and emptied it into the change counting machine.

We don't have any pictures of the change actually falling into the machine because some people *cough* Khyri, had to be watched carefully to make sure they didn't lose a finger in on the conveyor belt thingy. The kids of course had a great time; we always have fun at the bank! Our regular teller wasn't there on Saturday so some new employees were introduced to the Mosleys and all of our wonder :-) After the bank, I went to my sorority meeting and the hubby took the munchkins to community service with his Masonic Lodge.

On Sunday Kielle woke up to a Happy Birthday balloon. *cue 50 cent* Go Kielle... Its your birthday...

Once she realized it was going to be yet another special day, she was attached to the balloon permanently.

After a hearty breakfast of cereal and peaches, a treat for Kielle since she rarely gets citrus due to her eczema flare ups, we got her dressed in her suuuupper cute birthday digs.

I can't believe how much she has grown. I thought about the simple things we did during the day, like going up stairs, running, and sitting straight up in a swing, that she wasn't doing last year.  She is coming into her own and enjoying every minute of life. I love it!

We're still working on going down the slide sitting up though! hahahahaha Kielle has managed to create her own method of sliding...

Whatever works!
After going to the grocery store and the playground, we went to our favorite Mexican restaurant, The Border, for a birthday dinner and then we came home for cupcakes.

Kielle didn't like the taste of the cupcakes. Her brother, however, promptly told me to stop taking pictures and eat my cupcake.

Instead of eating the cake, Kielle proceeded to play with the frosting.

Khyri didn't understand the logic behind wasting such a yummy treat. hahahah He kept saying "Kielle is making a mess. Kielle is messy."

Then we opened Kielle's two presents. She got an electronic Leap Frog grocery toy and a Doc McStuffins doctor's kit. I love Doc McStuffins!! Its a show on Disney Jr. (or Netflix LOL) where the girl diagnoses and operates on her stuffed animals. Its a great show and I am determined that Kielle will love this character.

As I type, Kielle is laying in her new big girl bed passed out with a slight smile on her face. *cue Ice Cube* I guess today was a good day :-)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIELLE ELAINE!

HOLIDAY HAPPINESS

Well the holiday season has finally come to a close. Although we didn't get to have a white Christmas, we had a great time together decorating the tree, opening presents, and eating yummy food. For the first time, I put up a Christmas wreath to welcome Santa to our home :-)

I have always enjoyed writing letters and cards. The holiday season is one of my favorites for getting correspondence from folks. I love getting the different holiday cards and photo cards from friends and family. Every year I tape all of the Christmas cards we receive on the wall in the dining room; its a nice way to add some holiday decoration.

There is a local tradition in Atlanta to go ride on the Pink Pig. This "pig" is actually a train that used to run through the old Rich's department store in Lenox Mall. When Macy's bought out Rich's, the "pig" was moved up to the roof of the parking deck. Rides on the train begin in late October and end in early January.

Kielle and I met up with our friends Mikey and Shawanna to ride on the Pink Pig on afternoon. We waited in line for 2 hours! Who knew the Pink Pig was so popular!?!? Surprisingly we only had two or three minor meltdowns while standing in line hahaha. Despite the long wait, we had a good time riding around twice and listening to the story of Petunia Pig and her family :-) I don't think it's going to be a Mosley family tradition though.

The Saturday before Christmas, we went to our local tree spot to grab the perfect tree for our home. It was a quick affair (you know I was ready with my camera) because it was brutally cold that night an neither Khyri nor Kielle was in the mood to feel the chill. *sigh* So hubby quickly picked a tree and we shuttled back into the car.

Before Khy & Ki arrived, the hubby and I would buy our Christmas trees on Christmas Eve and decorate them that night. We were able to score some really great trees at rock bottom prices - and I love a deal! With the kiddos, however, we have so many boxes and gifts that we needed started buying the trees earlier. Now we go the weekend before Christmas. We let the tree "fall" for two days and then we decorate it.

Khyri helped hubby with the tree lights and both of the munchkins assisted with hanging some ornaments on the tree. Between Nas, Khyri and Kielle, we lost a few good ornaments this year :-(

As Christmas approached, we all came down with a cold :-( Everybody was congested and just not feeling their best. Christmas day arrived and the munchkins didn't get up until 10am.

Hands down Khyri's favorite toy was the Thomas the Train engines! He plays with them every day and has started to create buildings and mini cities that the trains navigate through :-)

For Christmas dinner, I did our traditional seafood feast with shrimp pasta, fish sticks for the munchkins, crab legs, and salmon. It was all very tasty and a great way to sum up the day. Christmas with two toddlers certainly is lively from the moment they wake up to the moment they finally close their eyes and go to bed - surrounded by their new toys.
